In April 2013, Dai Matsuoka, a dancer from the world-renowned Butoh company Sankaijuku, will make a new version of his representative work “Kaiten” as part of BankART Cafe Live.

“Kaiten” is a collaborative work by Dai Matsuoka, video artist Masakazu Saito and composer Yoshihisa Suzuki.

The concept of the work is drawn from the primitive emotion of pleasure (“kai”) that people feel when they see somebody or something rolling (“kaiten”).

First performed and acclaimed at Gallery Side 2 which is presenting a new generation of talented artists,”Kaiten” will make an unprecedented and inspiring impact at BankART.

来たる4月5日〜7日、横浜にあるBankART1929が主催するBankART Café Liveにて、山海塾の舞踏手として活躍する松岡大による公演「快転」を上演します。

Cafe Liveは、ドリンクを片手に気軽に楽しめるパフォーマンスシリーズとして2004年より開催されています。

今年度はアーティストと制作マネージャーによる5つのジョイントチームが、川俣正展にて大規模にリニューアルされたNYK Kawamataホールにて連続公演を行います。

「快転」は、松岡大と映像作家の齋藤正和、そして作曲家の鈴木悦久による共同作品です。

ダンス、映像そして音楽がそれぞれのメディアを通じて、「転ずること」の「快」を追求します。

国内外の瑞々しい現代アート作品を紹介するGallery Side 2にて初上演された本作が、BankARTにて更なる進化を遂げます。
