Dance×Kimono “MONONO AWARE”
Contemporary Kimono artist, Taka Enomoto, and contemporary ballet dancer, Mia Tomano collaborate on the piece “Monono Aware” at the Ueno Royal Museum Gallery. “Monono Aware” is an aesthetic notion of the Japanese literature, often translated as “the sorrow of human beings”. As guest performers, Dai Matsuoka, a dancer for the worldly acknowledged butoh company Sankaijuku, and Hiromichi Sakamoto, an avant-garde cellist join the project to push the boundary. Enjoy the live stage of these performers who will make strong and beautiful impressions with exquisite art of Kimono.
